Easter Devotional: Guided Group & Solo Hike Templates
On this very Good Friday, I’d like to share a template I wrote for you to take a group (or yourself!) out on an adventure. The template is written as a guided Easter devotional for a sunrise hike, but feel free to use it however you’d like!
One of my favorite things about bringing others into the world of outdoor adventure is sharing the love of Christ with them. If you’re new to sharing the outdoors and Jesus with others, knowing where to start with something like this can feel really daunting. With this template, I walk you through the structure of how to connect and share with a group, but give you the freedom to use your own style and what’s needed for the people you lead.
If you don’t have the opportunity to get a group outside for something like this, I’d encourage you to walk through the solo Easter devotional this weekend. You could do it over a few days, or in a morning. It can be a quick read-through, or hours of contemplation; whatever works best for you.
Wishing you a winderful Easter and celebration of the resurrection,
-Devan
For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. -2 Corinthians 5:14-17
