The drive up to Hailey, Idaho from Salt Lake City was just over 4 hours. We loaded the kids up with snacks and games, and we were there in no time. After arrival, we swung by the grocery store, grabbed some fresh food, and brought it to the Hop Porter Park for some free play.

When check-in time came, we unpacked, started dinner in the crock pot, and went swimming! We stayed at the incredible Wood River Inn & Suites: a locally-owned hotel with every detail accounted for.

After swimming, we ate dinner with a show and called it a night!

    Day Two: Long bike day

This was THE big day we had planned this trip for! After a delicious complimentary breakfast at the Wood River Inn, we walked across the street for a hot coffee and tea to warm us up.

After a flat tire on the buggy, we finally hit the Wood River Trail! Our goal was to hit up the Sawtooth Botanical Garden, but we decided to keep going since our little riders were taking a snooze. It’s just about 8 miles one way on the scenic paved trail from the hotel to the gardens. Garden admission is $7.

Another option is to go further and explore Ketchum and Sun Valley. Our e-bikes didn’t have enough charge to go all the way into town, so we turned around. If you have enough range or pack your chargers, this is another great option for the long e-bike day in Hailey, Idaho.

Day Three: One more adventure before heading home

Out of all the fun things to do in Hailey, Idaho, we were a little bummed to find this gem on the day we left: Quigley Trails Park. With four bike-riding-obsessed toddlers, we could have easily visited this spot every day! The park features pump tracks and trails for everyone to enjoy. It was the perfect spot to get wiggles out before hitting the road for home.

Dear Hailey, we’ll visit you anytime!

These two moms and four kiddos had a BLAST on our trip. It was full of fun and we definitely didn’t run out of amazing things to do in Hailey, Idaho. Being the perfect distance from Salt Lake for a weekend adventure, we know we’ll return soon.
